Zombie Apocalypse

Zombie apocalypse, do you believe in it? I do not, but I do believe that there is something really messed up going on. I do not believe that the living dead will be walking around eating brains. "Bath Salts" not something I have ever tried or will. This drug has been around for some time now, but all of a sudden it is making people eat others, cut out there intestines and kill people. The Hazmat Teams responding to schools, airports, and other public places mainly in FL to find out what is causing rashes and illnesses.

Is it our government, a homegrown group, a foreign group to be leaking chemicals that are causing "zombie" like traits?

What are your thoughts on this?

  1. Everything we know about zombies has come from hollywood. Living dead, eating brains, feels no pain, cannot die unless they are shot in the head and they move slow. What have we learned about the "miami zombie" and others with zombie traits? They will kill others, eat others, kill themselves, have super human strength, move fast, they will continue after being shot once. Are they similar? Yes. Are they dead? No. Chemicals that have reached their brain are dangerous to eveyone not just themselves. A couple used bath salts, one smoked pot. The chemicals used in bath salts have been banned in many states, but gov and foriegn countries still have access to them. Doea that scare you? It scares the hell out of me.

    An interesting article.
Interesting that Samita Andreansky, a virologist at the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine in Florida who also appears in the documentary. Did you say Miami? A lot of strange things happening there.

  4. Cambodian Troops Quarantine Quan'sul There has been a small outbreak of “zombism” in a small town near the border of Laos in North-Eastern Cambodia.

The culprit was discovered to be mosquitoes native to that region carrying a new strain of Malaria which thus far has a 100 percent mortality rate and kills victims in fewer than 2 days.

After death, this parasite is able to restart the heart of its victim for up to two hours after the initial demise of the person where the individual behaves in extremely violent ways from what is believed to be a combination of brain damage and a chemical released into blood during “resurrection.”

Cambodian officials say that the outbreak has been contained and the public has no need to worry.

General Ary Serey had this to say, "We have obtained samples of this new parasite and plan to learn how it starts the heart and other major organs of the deceased. We intend to use this to increase the quality of life for all."

US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice opposed the plan saying that the Cambodian government holds a great biological weapon and should destroy it immediately. Cambodian officials have yet to comment.

  5. The disease that makes people zombies
But in reality, the complete opposite is true, says Professor Sanjeev Krishna of St George's, University of London and the Wellcome Trust.
At the African hospital where he works in Lucala, about a 10-hour drive from the Angolan capital of Luanda, he see many patients with classic symptoms of the disease.
"At first it will cause headaches, aching muscles and maybe itching.
    Nightmarish qualities
"But in the late stages, when the parasites have invaded the brain, the signs become more obvious and ominous.
"Victims find it hard to concentrate. They become irritable, their speech is slurred and they stop eating.

  6. Think zombie viruses are farfetched? Recently there has been an outbreak in Uganda that has turned children into mindless “zombies” and experts conflict as to the cause of the illness. Apparently it leaves children with no hope of a cure and some rather violent symptoms (which has been debated according to CNN).

They are calling this mysterious zombie like affliction “nodding disease”. It is a confusing illness that had infected thousands of children in the northern regions of Uganda and it brings on seizures, violent behavior, personality changes and various other curious and tragic symptoms in children.

You can read more about this baffiling zombie like virus at dailytech.com, but preliminary research suggests it has alarming similarities with the common perception of the zombie virus. Reality suggests that this will just be another dude like swine or avian flu, but keeping people updated to possible post apocalyptic scenarios is the purpose of this site so we are going to hype this story as much as MSNBC would hype Michelle Obama’s fashion sense.

When children contract this mysterious disease, apprently they suddenly freak out and the villages have restrained the children with cloth restraints. The infected children gnaw and bite at the fabric restraints in a manner that many observers consider “zombiesque”.This mysterious disease cannot be traced to a particular cause although experts originally believed it was carried by a particular fly species, until at least 7% of the victims were found to have not lived in an area populated by these biting flies.

Medication is ineffective in preventing the disease and the children affected by the disease appear to rapidly progress to a state of zombie like incoherence which renders the infected children incapable of normal activities.

In response to a question about the zombie virus spreading to America, one of the main student researchers offered this answer:

“People complain that it looks like the lives in developing countries have less value than the lives in the western countries. When you know the root cause, you address the cure. Now you are just relieving the symptoms. We don’t expect to cure anybody.”

The fact is major western governments do not give a shit about African kids; they are focused on their own economic issues. The frightening thing about all of this is that these same African kids that the Western governments choose to ignore may be the root cause of the spread of this nodding zombie virus in the west, which will surely prompt western governments to take action.

Note: During the course of writing this article CNN has stepped back from their inflammatory zombie tone and made the article less sensational.

Unfortunately for CNN incendiary zombie talk is definitely going to make the front page of postapocalypticsurvival.com.
